Program overview

The intensive covers in detail the core of Argentine Tango: the connected walk, torsion, and pivots.

Our goal is that you get the most relevant training for your tango needs. To achieve this, we survey each participant and hear your particular interests on each topic.

We also include challenging elements like sacadas and boleos to help you tune your advanced skills.

All trainings will feature technique, exercises, and content-based tango challenges.

FAQ

> When is the next intensive?

We offer intensives in Buenos Aires in March and November, and in Montreal in April and September. There are also special events which are usually anounnced closer to the event date. Find the dates for our current events here.

> Is there a specific level of experience required?

Yes, the intensives are for experienced dancers who are at an intermediate or advanced level of dancing. You will be dancing 100% of the time with an instructor who will adjust to your skill needs.

> What is the difficulty level of the material in the intensives?

All the material presented during the intensive is what we consider fundamental content for an experienced dancer. Fundamental content is relevant to all levels of experience. This content involves technique for walking, alignments, and pivoting. You will work at the depth that you are willing and able to study at.

> Am I going to learn new steps?

We will use steps you are already familiar with. These intensives do not focus on learning new steps, but on what is inside the steps. Steps are examples that contain core elements of the dance. We focus on how to do the steps: techniques, skills, and structures.

> How can I prepare for the intensive?

We suggest you follow the recommendations we will be sharing with you after you register. These include content about how to best prepare your body, how to dress for the intensive, as well as tips about travel and accomodation.

> Where are the intensives hosted?

We offer intensives in Montreal and Buenos Aires. Once you register for an intensive in one of these locations, we will send you the studio address and suggestions for travel arrangements.

> How much does the intensive cost?

> What is the payment modality?

Once your registration is processed, you will receive instructions on how to pay your deposit and balance, to secure your spot.

> What is the schedule?
